The brief
Crestwood is the largest independent interiors company in Hampshire. It has traded for more than twenty-five years from its Lymington showroom, covering kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, curtains, shutters, awnings and full interior projects. Customers come in to compare materials, plan rooms, and arrange measuring and fitting.
The website still reflected that showroom model. There was no catalogue, no checkout, and no way to take and fulfil orders online. Moving into UK-wide retail meant rebuilding the online presence and deciding how the company should present itself beyond Hampshire.
arckd rebranded Crestwood of Lymington, designed and built the website and online shop for Crestwood Interiors, and designed the order-management system behind the storefront.
The name
Crestwood of Lymington suits the showroom. People know it locally, it sits on the building, and it fits the fitted work done in Hampshire. On a national shop, the same name reads differently. A town in the title can make the offer look local-only. That is right for measuring and fitting, but less useful on product pages, advertising, packaging and email for customers across the UK.
The answer was to keep the showroom name and design a dual identity for one company.
Crestwood Interiors is the retail brand for furniture, lighting, accessories, mattresses and UK delivery. It leads on the website, the shop and digital channels.
Crestwood of Lymington remains the showroom brand for the premises, measuring, fitting and project work.
Both names share the same logomark, palette, typography and visual system. Online shopping leads with Interiors. Showroom and fitted work lead with Lymington. They read clearly as the same business.
Identity
The Crestwood logomark stayed through the rename. It is the teal circular mark with the company crest and the letter C. It is already known from the premises, and it has to work at every scale, from a favicon to a vehicle.
Around it, arckd designed a full lockup system. Two wordmarks, Interiors and Lymington, share the same lettering and the same relationship to the mark. Colourways in teal, black and white cover light backgrounds, dark surfaces, print and email.
The look is quiet and editorial, matched to the showroom: calm, and focused on materials rather than a standard ecommerce template.
Linen is the main background. Ink is used for darker sections. Teal is the brand colour, kept for the logomark, rules and primary actions.
Titles are set in Fraunces, which carries the personality. Body text, navigation and prices are set in Open Sans, which stays plain and readable.
Most pages lead with photography: room shots, material detail and the showroom itself. Heroes are full-bleed images with type over them. Department and category icons are hand-drawn, which keeps the navigation in character for an interiors company.

The website
The site had two jobs. It had to sell products across the UK, and bring people into the Lymington showroom for projects. Much of the homepage work was about holding both without turning the page into a long list of links.
It opens on the full offer, online and in Lymington, with two equal actions. The live shop follows, then the showroom departments as large image tiles: kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, curtains and awnings. Furniture appears in rooms as well as on product cards. Navigation follows the same split, with departments on showroom pages and shop categories once someone is buying.
The logomark sits at the centre of the header, with search, account and bag on either side. The brand comes first, and the shop tools stay secondary.
Department pages share one layout: a full-bleed hero, a short introduction, the range, and a clear choice to visit the showroom or shop online. Only the content changes between departments, not the structure.
The shop, product pages, bag, checkout and account are designed as part of the same system, not added as a separate store theme. Cards are square, rules stay quiet, and teal is kept for actions. A dedicated mattress range sits inside the same design.
Behind the storefront, arckd designed and integrated a full order-management system, so the team can run the catalogue, take payment and process orders. The site works as a real retailer, not a brochure with a buy button.

The result
One company under two names. Crestwood of Lymington in the showroom, Crestwood Interiors online. The logomark, the visual system and the website keep them together.
